We installed this security system for our customer in Edmonton, Alberta. The system was a basic security system with some of our best equipment. The customer opted in to get a high end smoke alarm that tied directly into the security system along with a garage door module. The garage door automation is a neat feature that many of our customers really enjoy. This customer cannot only access their security system 100% from their mobile phone or wireless device but they can also unlock, lock and open their garage door.

Home Automation Features

Northstar Security primarily does security systems. However, our security systems are far from the typical basic alarm systems. Our alarm systems are integrated with home automation solutions and even our very own home automation app for mobile phones.

Such was the case with this alarm system. The system included a smoke detector and garage door opener module. Both of these can be accessed via the mobile app along with all the home security features.
